Ive been at the IM game for about 11 years now. Ive watched the birth of LinkedIn, Instagram, Pintrest etc. Its all the same old BS.
Sometimes I think the IM guys put this stuff out so that the newbies just waste time on things that dont really work and give up. ie: less competition.
So when TikTok came out I pretty much ignored it. Ive never been on the site and have no idea what goes on there other than people upload "look what I can do" videos.
Can someone explain to me the general idea of how to make money on TikTok.???
eg. For YouTube, you upload keyword rich videos and put your Affiliate link in the description/video and hope someone buys through your link. You can also use CPA offers, landing pages, Paid Ads etc.
So whats the plan with TikTok.????

It's official. Mark Furniss has whored himself out to Trevor Carr. Ran through this and it's really not worth talking about. Research tiktok on g00gle and youtuve if you want to pursue it a bit further. Personally I know a woman that has got millions of views and heaps of followers and she can't convert jack squat. She's also got millions of Giphy activities and still she can't convert. Just my input and I think it's a waste of time. +Reps OP Moneystar

Someone can, and has even put it into a set of videos to make it dead simple, (thank you OP and reps). Just click the link instead of asking people to explain it to you. Then maybe you could offer something constructive and helpful to this community with your informed critique of the method using your many years of experience, instead of just cluttering up the thread with grandstanding speculation.
Just thought I'd share my experience with this method.
I'm completely new to TikTok, but followed the instructions virtually to the letter.
After one day I have 5 videos live, and around 400 views each for 3 of them, and just one view each for the other two. Sadly just one follower and 5 likes... So, I think it's fair to say you can get people viewing your stuff, but engagement beyond that is problematic, although it's probably partly because my content sucks. (Although it's no worse than the examples provided.) I got two clickthroughs - which is what I expected, because, after all, TikTok viewers are far from being targeted traffic.
So, in conclusion, I think you'd need to drive much more traffic - 10k or more - for this to have a chance of securing sales. The key, as always, will be around content, which will inevitably require more than 60 seconds to create, but if you take time over it, maybe you could get better results.

Maybe.. and point taken... but I thought this was a "forum" where people are free to talk about things, help each other out etc...
