What do You do if You’re Just Starting and
Have No Clients to get Referrals From?
If you just started your business and don’t yet
have any clients to get referrals from, it’s time
to tap into the network of everyone you know.
This video expounds on the information in
Chapter 4 – “Leveraging Your Network.”
The first strategy I detail is exactly how I
kick-started my offline business and had 4,750
in my bank account 7 days after I began marketing my
services. Remember that most people you know are happy
to help you and are a goldmine of potential contacts!
Before you make a single cold-call, send out a cold
prospecting email, post card, direct mailer or spend
one thin dime on advertising, you must try this
strategy. I say this for a couple reasons.
First of all, it works! Secondly, you can get
enough new clients so you don’t need any
cold-prospecting strategies. Finally, the
revenue you generate with these clients will
pay for your additional marketing campaigns!

just ask for names. If you want high quality
referrals, incorporate this method into your
referral strategy. the payoff is potentially HUGE!!!

Performance Excellence and Taking Action
A referral-based business is based on trust
so you need to perform for your clients and
those they refer you to. If you do incredible
work for me, I’ll happily refer you to my most
valuable contacts. If you do a partial job or
don’t deliver as promised the most I will do is
politely decline to give you any names and tell you why.
If referrals are a component of your fee, I’d say you
didn’t earn it so be sure you bust your tail to impress
me with your work!
Finally, take action. Motion attracts wealth and the
more you act on the strategies in this course,
the more successful you will become.
