OPERA ADS - O PLAY DIGITAL SER. LTD (ADVERTISING), so I was on my own when I got a call from these guys from Opera Ads Nigeria, that they can help me advertise my products and services online, I was first hesitant because this is something I could do myself and my assistant who normally did this was away on vacation. They called me more than 10 times, just to explain to me how good they were and how much they can impress me with their advertising.
Still hesitant I decided to go for their starter pack. I paid $100 on Friday, didn’t get respond till Monday. No problem, as It was a weekend. Also note that they promised me 250,000 clicks on my ads for $100, I first laughed about this, because I don’t understand how possible that is (probably bullshit).

Then they said I would be contacted Monday. I didn’t get any update until Wednesday, that they were designing images for me, 5 days later. They submitted very terrible images. I mean I had already submitted images and video for the ads I wanted to run, but they wasted time designing very terrible creatives for my brand. I then told them, use what I already gave you. Then Okay start my ads for me. They asked me for time that they will start, I didn’t get a response from them again.

Then next week seeing how unserious they were, I asked for a refund, that’s when they now remembered that they were working with me. I mean these people got my company name wrong, terrible creatives, terrible customer services, they said the information I submitted to them were incorrect I proved all these things wrong because I had screenshot of every message.

Now I want a refund, they said they had already paid Facebook for my advert and that it will start running immediately, I honestly don’t want to believe these people think I am stupid, Facebook charges you after running ads and not before. So they wanted to use this story to stop me from getting my money back. So now I wish to warn any person new or have heard calls from these guys to beware as they are unserious and unreliable when it comes to doing anything I still haven’t gotten my refund as they are still giving me stories. SO BEWARE OF OPERA ADS AS THE WAY THEY OPERATE AS SCAMMERS AND WILL LEAVE YOU HANGING WITH A BUNCH OF UNPROFESSIONALS

HERE IS THE CONTACT OF THESE GUYS.
08053584356 -
09059083675 - OLAMIDE.

AND UP TILL DATE THEY HAVE STOPPED RESPONDING TO MY MESSAGES OR CALLS.
All the world know To stay away from anything come from Nigeria They are number one scammers
You know what they say? "If it sounds good it probably isn't." Next time go with your gut and stick to it!
So you were contacted out of the blue multiple times by someone from Nigeria, and thought it would be a good idea to take them up on their offer? Fukin hell, you must have been really unlucky, I mean, who would have ever thought that a call from Nigeria could have been anything but legitimate?? Mad Slap
I´m shocked that anyone in the world is dumb enough to ever do business, transfer funds to, or even open a like in an email from anyone or anything that has the word Nigeria in the title.

.. I guess the only legit excuse is if your elderly, R*******, or blind.. 42rock

Racist much? I am from Nigeria, and I am not a scammer. The fact that there are some bad eggs doesn't mean you should generalize. Your comment is really unfair and very very myopic. Check the statistics of Nigerians that are doing well in the world, especially in the United States, then come back here and update your comment especially the part that says "I mean, who would have ever thought that a call from Nigeria could have been anything but legitimate??"

I'll give you one example you can google. "Dr Bennet Omalu" whom the movie 'concussion' by Will Smith was made after.

Oh, and another example, Dr Okonjo Iweala, one time managing director of the world bank, and currently sits on the board of Twitter, among other top companies.

I could go on and on just to school really Myopic people like you but the list will be endless. Don't sit in your little cocoon and judge people based off generalizations. It says a lot of the kind of human being you are. Do a little research, it'll actually help you be a much better human being.

In case you do not know, Nigeria does not even top the list of countries who scam the most (Again, do a real research and don't judge based on social media). A lot of people from other African countries even scam people and say they are from Nigeria just because we are the vulnerable ones and its easy to pin a scam on us.

There are bad eggs in every country in the world. Do not generalize!

Have a good day.

I'm not racist. And I'm certainly not the only person that would be suspicious if somebody from Nigeria contacted me out of the blue and "called me more than 10 times".

I don't need to Google any names, nor do I need to do any research on the highest scamming countries. If somebody from ANY country cold-called me, I would be suspicious, especially if they were persistent and not taking no for an answer.

The fact is (and I have no idea why), Nigeria has become like a scapegoat for scammers. That has nothing to do with me just thinking that, that's just common knowledge. If you were to ask somebody what were their first thoughts when they hear the word "scammer", I'm pretty sure that most people would automatically think of "Nigerian" and "Western Union".

And what happened when the OP went against his better judgement?? Funnily enough, he got scammed.

Sorry If you felt offended by my comment. Of course I know that not every Nigerian is a scammer, in fact, it's the same with any country, there's always far more respectable, law-abiding people, than there are criminals. But for some reason, Nigeria has gained a bad reputation for scams. And because of that, I (and a lot more people) will always be that bit more cautious when it comes to any unrequested correspondence from anyone claiming to be Nigerian. Nothing racist about it at all. Apologies again if it came across that way.
