It really does suck trying to DL stuff from zippy - all the krap it throws up, slowest loading times while just trying to get to the DL - and with it having to show previews of PDFs, etc - it is just plain distasteful to use.

So, I had copied a zippy link for something I wanted to get and instead of using the browser, I opened JDL and had it check out the link, and=>
Happydance Happydance IT WORKED PERFECTLY !! Happydance Happydance

All I have is the free/Java version - totally 100% NOT registered for anything.
Apparently it uses some sort of proxy tech that is revolving and that may be how it beats the zippy popups and such - and it was FAST too.

So, in case you don't already have JDL, I very strongly suggest getting it and giving it a try for any DL site that has popups and such, or limitations.
And BTW:
I posted about my adventure in getting JDL here=>

Enjoy and prosper !!
Thanks for sharing that info!

I hated downloading anything from Zippyshare for that same reason. A couple of weeks ago, I downloaded uBlock Origin and it solved my problem ... works like a charm!!! No more crappy popup pages! Happydance
Just use Epic browser and you can download the files without any nasty popups

Hi Bobhenry.
I took a look there, 1st noticing that you did not share with us all where you'd grabbed it from=>

And it had scanned 'JDownloader2_Clean_Installer.exe' - which I certainly did NOT use as mine (Java based) came right from their site's links found here:
Code:
http://jdownloader.org/jdownloader2
Which all lead to mega including the java JAR file that I got mine from AND that installer version is at the top of the list, but I've never used it.

Given that I run ESET AV 24/7/365 and it did not complain about the JAR file, that was good enough for me.
Now adding to the main content that I made this thread for:
Lately I've kept JDL open as I did many things, and noticed that anytime - literally ALL the times when I'd copied the URL of any filesharing site, it grabbed the DL for me with absolutely no BS that I needed to tolerate AT ALL.

Could this be love at 1st byte ?!?
