It's already been mentioned that the default password but without the ''.com'' is working. I've tested same myself and it's fine.
Regarding the method, I took a quick look and honestly it looks alright. Does it work? I don't know because I have never tried anything like this but it doesn't seem like too bad of an idea.
Has anyone ever tried using Google Groups for marketing?
