If, like me, you are a true blues fan then you will of course know about the legendary Robert Johnson and will have undoubtedly, seen the 1986 movie, Crossroads, (a screenplay, written by John Fuscowhich) which is all about Johnson and his meeting with The Devil, at a cross road and to have sold his soul, in return for fame and fortune. This, of course, is only a story - perhaps to try and explain away the uncanny and almost unworldly talents of this musical genius. (DigiMike)
Robert Johnson’s recordings, made in 1936 and 1937, have profoundly influenced generations of singers, guitarists, and songwriters. Gayle Dean Wardlow has been interviewing people who knew Johnson since the early 1960s, and he was the person who discovered Johnson’s death certificate in 1967.
