This share is a direct link to the Foreign Service Institute's (FSI) language course files. These programs were developed by the U.S. government and are in the public domain, so they are free to use.

I chose the graphic above after reading on this site that there were 72 free FSI language courses but that only means there are multiple versions of a particular language based on phonology.

ARABIC | CHINESE | FRENCH |
GERMAN | PORTUGUESE | SPANISH

You get to choose which version of a language to download (based on where in the world it's spoken). For example, there is Brazilian or Spanish Portuguese ... Belgian or Sub-Saharan French ... and you can download a Quick-Start version (if you already have some background) or go for the Basic version (if you don't and need to learn from scratch).

So choose a language, decide which level you need and download using JD2 or IDM. I downloaded Basic French and that was a HUGE download. You will get mp3 audio files and a few PDF documents.
