It's interesting because of what it is, and what it isn't, from a marketing perspective. He's an experienced guy, of course.
Looks like he's sold the FE in the past for $27 (based on posts on BBHF) but presumably offers these limited time "specials." Standard stuff.
His 1st Upsell (DFY?) has apparently strong testimonials and is not cheap. (No, I don't have it and don't have details.) As usual, the role of this FE is to get you to the Upsells.
And how he's doing it seems logical and almost classical. The ebook is 69 pages and packed with authoritative-sounding stuff.
"Get a 500 person list. Assume a 30% conversion of 150 sales @ $50
commission. That’s $7500 in commissions paid to you. Assume a cost of
30%. Just do that every month and you’re earning ~$60,000 a year in pretax
income.
It takes minimal effort to build a list of 500 people. Your number will likely
exceed this and all other expectations if you put in the effort and play the
long game."
Comes over as very authoritative to a newcomer, probably. Lots of "What to do" but almost zero "How to do it." The exception is details on installing wordpress. Big deal. It's the equivalent of a book on making bear soup that starts, "Step 1, catch a bear."
So a decent example of "give away the 'What to do,'" and "sell the 'How to do it.'" Except he makes you pay for the "What to do," as well! I guess that's what you get from having a market presence.
