Hi Cokejams - huge thanks for that pointer !!
I will look for it next time I grab a course from Udemy.
Truly JDL has so many options that it takes concentration to remember to check EVERYTHING for a sub-menu or the like.
Now, if only I could get it to grab either the transcripts or the SRT files from Udemy like Allavsoft does, it'd be BEYOND amazing !!!

Thanks Smithnowt the portable version from Sourceforge looks ace idea which one did you use. I tried a zillion times to get Jdownloader but never succeeded after a Windows 10 darn update yet again.

Hi Jessyb !!
for the
As I'd mentioned earlier - what finally worked for me to get JDL is the Java version.
Best just try to see what may work for you from there - and maybe you need to enable 'XP mode' to get it working ??
Lots of really good apps just hate the latest win-doze versions from what I have read.
I do not even have windows7 actually - skipped vista altogether, couldn't stand 7, then took ONE look at 8 and (later) 10 and decided to just use XP inside a VM under Linux forever, no more mikr0$hit for this old guy, I'm done !!
(32 bit XP within 64 bit Linux runs WAAAY better than it did natively.)

Hi smithnowt, max reps to you. Been using JD for a while but not for udemy yet. Perhaps you should write about your experience and method of running XP under Linux. Tq again.

Thanks for reminding me about JD. I used it in the past but now I mainly use IDM. IDM does not work with MEGA links, as you said and I am just as frustrated as you about their funny ways to extort some cash from me
