Someone who kindly PMed me asked how old I was. I told them "I can tell you ... but then, I'd have to kill you."

Hahahhaa. Lol

I never heard back ... I just hope he got the joke. Or knew that the expression famously comes from some movie I can't recall now.

Since inquiring minds want to know, I did the research and here is what I discovered about that saying:

It just so happens it is credited to appearing in the TV series (not the original book) The Hounds of the Baskervilles but has since been used in multiple movies; more famously in Tom Cruise's Top Gun.

I've got to remember when I write people on the forum that not everyone may be as familiar with some of the quips and quotes we bandy around with other Americans. And the last thing I want to do is offend someone with my style of humor.
