Make sure you know what you're doing by switching to WordPress. Personally, I can never agree to move a custom website to WP. You'll get hit with a reality check.
Ok, Nice topic, I also want to know about it in details. I have some confusion https is helpful for a website.
Huh, what is this?
Yes HTTPS does provide a minor boost to your site in rankings .. so if you want the security certification I would get it since its free versions out there.. just be sure to set up the redirects to pages if need be.
I've changed all my sites to https, but haven't seen an increase in rankings!
HTTPS isn't a huge ranking factor for search engines right now, although it might have a huge impact later. Google has incentivized moving to HTTPS. And, Chrome browsers will soon start shaming your unencrypted website for serving an unsecured HTTP version to the users.

Are you that http can have a huge impact later? Because I don't want to switch to http only to find out that I made a mistake. Also can you please guide on when would be the perfect timing for this particular change?
Https doesn't have a big value in search ranking, but it gives trust to visitors.
