AM is an old dog in this arena so he does know what he's doing.
He is deliberately aiming this at a certain beginner demographic and giving them just what hey need.
If he added what you mentioned then the focus becomes more intermediate level and a harder sell and even harder to deliver e.g. time and duration etc.
