The backupbuddy never downloaded, when I pressed the download button it went to ask me install pdf extension which i did but still could not get to download it

When i am doing a backup of my wordpress site i am getting an error 'The function `integrity_check` is taking an abnormally long time to complete" The backup seems to stuck right there at the integrity check. what could be causing this?
