Steps to register:

1. Install the software as with any software, Close to see the purchase the product
2. Go to: C:/Windows/Systems32/Drivers/etc/
3. Cut the file hosts and paste on your desktop
4. Edit the file host with notepad
5. Go to the end and paste this line: 127.0.0.1 platform.wondershare.com
6. Save, cut and paste the host file where you remove it from: C:/Windows/Systems32/Drivers/etc/
7. Open the app and go to menu-Register
8. Use any of the following keys

A question I have also sunnyTRIO, from what I can gather the official website seems to suggest keeping both as all the effects I have install in 8 and not 9.
Use v8 to apply effects then open in v9 for final edit?

This is for 64 bit machines only.

Even if the official registered release those other downloaded effects are flakey to say the least. If you sign up for their downloadable direct effects they install to a differnt spot in the program and work all the time. The ones that are floating around work to some degree but they vanish at times. Here is how to fix them.

To fix disappearing effects:
1. Install all Effects
2. Go to C:\ProgramData\Wondershare Filmora\Default Effects\DefaultPackage
3. Make the file "config.json" read only!

I have gotten them to all show using this method but it took some figuring out and checking that the file was set to read only before I launched the program. I had to completely uninstall everything. Install the program and all the packs and then set the file before I even launched the program for the first time.
