Can anyone shed some light on if autoblogs with RSS feeds are safe for adsense?

No, they are not. Do that and you'll lose your Adsense account.

It was also difficult for me at first to upload. This is how I did it.

Extract the folder from zip file. Go to the cpanel of your wordpress site and upload it in the plugin folder

After activating the plugin you will see support, that is where the tutorial videos are.
