I just bought a new PC and started the process of installing all my favorite apps.
Everything starts with Winrar.
It's a 'MUST Have' app.
Your DL links are alive and well, respect brother!
Anyone who knows anything will find this to be such an easy DL.
Such an easy install, such an easy experience all around courtesy of a total class act, Mr. smithnowt
Max reps to you although I know that's not why you provide here.
Too bad your gettin' max reps anyhow :)
Thanks Amigo!
LINKS ARE STILL ALIVE. THANX, BROTHER. REPS ADDED FOR SMITHNOWT.
THIS WINRAR KG TRIGGERS BACKDOOR/GRAYBIRD WARNING FROM NORTON. TRIGGERED WARNING MAYBE BE DUE TO THE FACT IT IS A KEYGEN.
HI. THANX SMITHNOWT AND KAISER SOZE FOR THE DOWNLOAD AND THE RESPONSES.
I UNDERSTAND MANY KG'S AND SOFTWARE MAY TRIGGER WARNINGS FROM AV'S. IN MOST CASES, THEY HAVE ALL BEEN GENERAL WARNINGS. HOWEVER, IN THIS CASE NORTON SPECIFICALLY IDENTIFIED THE BACKDOOR (GRAYBIRD) IN THE KG AND NOT JUST GIVE A GENERAL WARNING IS WHY I POSTED THE RESPONSE.
IF THAT "SPECIFIC" BACKDOOR IDENTIFICATION FROM NORTON IS IN ERROR, WELL THAT'S THE FIRST TIME I'VE SEEN IT, AS MOST OTHER WARNINGS WERE GENERALIZED AND IF I LOOKED INTO THE REASON FOR THE WARNING, IT WAS OFTEN DUE TO LACK OF USERS OR SOME OTHER GENERIC REASON.
I'VE DOWNLOADED SOFTWARE/KG'S FROM BBHF SEVERAL TIMES PRIOR TRUSTING THE OP AND INSTALLED ON MY PC ONLY TO FIND BACKDOORS AND KEYLOGGERS AFTER A THOROUGH HEURISTIC SCAN, WHICH IS WHY AFTER FEW SUCH EXPERIENCES, I DECIDED TO NEVER DOWNLOAD ANYTHING OTHER THAN COURSE MATERIALS. MY PASSWORDS WERE POSTED ON THE DARKNET AFTER SUCH EVENTS AND I HAD TO CHANGE ALL MY PASSWORDS AFTER DISCOVERING THE MALWARE ON MY PC. I'VE NOTICED SOME OF THOSE QUESTIONABLE OP'S ARE NO LONGER ACTIVE IN BBHF.
I NORMALLY NEVER DOWNLOAD ANY SOFTWARE OR KG'S FROM BBHF ANYMORE AS A RESULT OF THOSE EXPERIENCES WITH SOME BAD APPLES THAT WERE ON BBHF. THIS WAS AN EXCEPTION AND ESPECIALLY WITH AN ENDORSEMENT FROM ANOTHER LONG-TERM BBHF MEMBER IS WHY I DOWNLOADED IT.
I'M ON BBHF OFF AND ON FOR WEEKS, MONTHS AND SOMETIMES AWAY FOR A YEAR OR MORE SO THE LENGTH OF MY MEMBERSHIP DOES NOT ACCURATELY REFLECT HOW LONG I'VE BEEN AN "ACTIVE" MEMBER. THE REASON FOR THE NUMBER OF POSTS VS. REP IS BECAUSE I DO MY BEST TO COMMENT AND SAY THANKS TO EACH OP AND CONTRIBUTORS AND ADD REPS FOR ANYTHING I DOWNLOAD. I APPRECIATE THE HARD WORK OF MANY BBHF MEMBERS IN SHARING. OH, AND I NORMALLY TYPE IN ALL CAPS... NOTHING IMPLIED THERE.
I APOLOGIZE IF MY POST WAS OFFENSIVE, BUT I WAS JUST REPORTING WHAT TRANSPIRED... PERHAPS, IN TOO MUCH HASTE. I HAVE EDITED THE NORTON BACKDOOR/GRAYBIRD WARNING TO MAKE IT MORE FRIENDLY.

Come on man, clue in please.
Every keygen will scream a false positive warning, it's the nature of the tool.
It's designed to hack software, therefore the virus detectors will give you an indication that it has nefarious attributes.
In making that post you're just telling people you don't know much about anything 'BlackHat'
IN ALL CAPS NO LESS! What's up with that?
The guy that posted this thread (smithnowt) is so against malicious code that he has at least one pinned post here on this forum (that I know of) warning people of the dangers of a certain CRM's plugins.
I'll spoonfeed this to you, a pinned post is a post that the moderators of this forum have deemed important enough that they feel ALL members should read it.
In case you have zero vocabulary...
Deemed = regarded or considered in a specified way.
ie: "the event was deemed a great success"
oops, a little too much for you? ok, sorry...
i.e. is the abbreviation for the Latin phrase id est, meaning “that is.” This abbreviation is used when you want to specify something mentioned previously; it can be used interchangeably with “specifically” or “namely.” Here are some examples: “Only one city, i.e., London, has hosted the Summer Olympics three times.”
Please don't come walking into this forum again trying to make my well-meaning friends look foolish.
You've been a member here a lot longer than both smithnowt and myself.
You'd think you'd have learned a thing or 2 by now.
Hi Archimedes.
I'm sorry to hear about your discomfort with the KG shared here.
Now that I'm only using Linux I don't worry anymore about the ills which go along with using windows.
When I was still using that OS I found that having NOD32 AV was quite enough.
The mainstream AVs like norton and macafee I had found to be ineffective bloatware.
All my windows using clients used ESET as well and had good (non-M$) firewall protections and only ever had any problems at all when someone was stupid or silly enough to get phished.
This particular KG has been useful to me and many others for a very long time - it isn't new, but the keyfiles it makes still work just fine.
Anyhow...
SandboxIE is 100% free now - and VirtualBox is also free - so=>
The best practices for anyone who needs to fear such things is to either run it sandboxed, or make a quickie VM of XP or something - keep that VM off the internet - run whatever it is that worries you - save the keyfile (which is just text) - and in closing the VM don't keep any changes so that it stays virgin no matter what.
It is surprisingly easy to do and very useful for lots of things.
Keeping a PC clean and free of malware should be 2nd nature for anyone who prefers not to replace their PC ~yearly !!
solidfiles link working. thanks
