My Mom had frozen shoulders and was scheduled for surgery. I worked with her for two weeks doing the movements with her. By the time the surgery date came, she was pain free and could lift her arms and hand and comb her hair and did not need the surgery! She has been doing these movements everyday for the last 4 years and does not complain of any pain. She is 79 years old!

Believe it or not there are Feldenkrais practitioners all over the country. If you have the time and motivation to find one, I highly recommend to take a few lessons. But the book by itself is easy to comprehend and a good start.

There is also a Feldenkrais Institute near San Francisco where they have regular workshops. One of them that I know of is
The Milton H. Erickson Institute of the Bay Area, near San Francisco.
