The formula for KWFinder Difficulty = (DA*0.25) + (PA*0.4) + (MR*10*0.22) + (MT*10*0.13)
This was the formula before they updated it to use Majestic metrics.
(Above Formula Credit: https://nichegains.com/reverse-engineeri...s-formula/)
Which breaks down to:
Domain Authority – 25%
Page Authority – 40%
Moz Rank (multiplied by 10) – 22%
Moz Trust (multiplied by 10) – 13%
But the Moz Rank and Trust are no longer available, so I have updated the KWFinder formula to not use them.
KWFinder Difficulty = (PA * 0.575) + (DA * 0.425)
KeywordRevealer Difficulty = Average PA of Top 10 Results
KeywordRevealer Profit = (Monthly Searches * 0.CPC) * 0.1
Moz Difficulty = (PA * 0.6) + (DA * 0.4)
I have created a simple Google Sheet which calculates the difficulty for you (Currently this uses the Moz difficulty formula, but you could easily change it to use either of the other two).
1. Install the MozBar extension.
2. Search for your keyword on Google.
3. Export the results using the icon at the very left, next to the Moz logo.
4. Copy the PA and DA into the Sheet.
6. If there is a 0 in the competition column, due to not having enough DA/PA data, delete the 0, otherwise this will lower the calculated competition score.
7. Profit!
