The principles used here were explained in much more detail on another recent course in the link below. Made me think that the authors of Profiteer decided to simplify and automate that course:

He is apparently using the Boombox viral magazine theme (which isn't included) plus his custom plugin that fetches content from RSS feeds, and voila you have yet another autoblog! If you make it look nice and pick a good niche, you could maybe sell these on Flippa for $50--$100... or not.
This may be appealing to newbies as a shortcut route to create an asset that could be sold on Flippa for a few bucks. But really, there is nothing new here in terms of strategy or method. Creating content autoblogs is a tried and true way to build low price starter sites that someone may want, if you pick the right niche.
