Ok - have gone through about half the course so far.
It's presented in a different order, but basically, here's the process:
--create/obtain an MMO-based freebie (I think they provide something in the course? One of the early videos mentioned something about this)
--create a lander that entices someone to want the freebie
--instead of a standard email opt-in, use a push notification opt-in instead on your lander...just get people to click "yes" so you can then send push notifications directly to their screen instead of relying on email marketing (the product creator plays up that email in-boxes are crowded and many people use fake emails just to get your freebie)
--send solo ad traffic to your lander (there's also a video on how to hustle up free traffic)
--pick other MMO offers to promote, follow up with push notifications - preferably to reviews of the products you're promoting
--rinse and repeat
I've not used this method, but I think it definitely has legs and there's no reason why it shouldn't work.
***CAVEAT***
I don't yet know if the product creator addresses this, because as I alluded to above, I've not gone through everything yet. However, you do need to know going in that iOS does *not* support push notifications.
This means you can use them on laptops and I assume android devices, but no iPhones, iPods, iPads, etc
I don't think this is likely *that* much of an issue with IMers / promoting MMO, as these prospects will likely be on their laptops. However, other niches or traffic sources heavily reliant on mobile might not fare as well.
Just something to keep in mind.
