Hi, Many Thanks for the Rep,
This is a genuine untouched plugin which we purchased yesterday with reseller rights, I also gave it a full test before adding it to BBHF as A Gift to everyone on here, I have been fortunate over the years to have had so much Value from other members so A little payback seems fair to me.
There will be more to come ...

Don't fall prey to all the months of scaremongering. I'm by no means saying ignore it as its the law but nobody is coming after you for non compliant blogs etc. These big fines are aimed at corporations. If in the unlikely event the ICO ever did contact you in regards to your websites data handling they would most likely issue guidance, maybe a warning, but steer you towards compliance. All this stuff about millions of pounds worth of fines is not what this law is about. Unfortunately almost every website with any potential readership on the matter has been offered a cut n paste or curated article focusing on the sharp end of the stick.
Bulk Emailers definitely need to consider the implications if they are not already covering their tracks thoroughly.
In regards to websites, it will be like the cookie laws, a lot of noise and a damp squib. In fact my first thoughts were 'Oh theres another 10 WSO's and a WPplugin in the making'.
“This law is……about putting the consumer and citizen first. We can’t lose sight of that. Focusing on big fines makes for great headlines, but thinking that GDPR is about crippling financial punishment misses the point. It’s scaremongering to suggest that we’ll be making early examples of organisations for minor infringements or that maximum fines will become the norm.”
Commissioner Denham has said fines will be a last resort. "Issuing fines has always been and will continue to be, a last resort," she says in her blog post. "Last year (2016/2017) we concluded 17,300 cases. I can tell you that 16 of them resulted in fines for the organisations concerned."
So unless you're sending millions of cold emails with no 'unsubcribe' option, then it's unlikely you're going to end up as one these fine cases. As I understand it, you would have to have multiple complaints first off.
As I understand it, any opt-in lists you gained through legitimate sign-ups pre-gpdr, dont need to be signed-up for permission again. This is a common myth. But check the ICO website anyway.
It certainly will have an impact but not in the way its being portrayed. Its odd, as I dont see how programmatic marketing is possible anymore and that ad tech is in its infancy.
Hopefully, the right tools, plugins and work-arounds will rear their heads soon and we can all get back to business.
Does it need some kind of activation code for future updates to be made?
