If you like magazines but you don't like what they're charging now-a-days to read 'em, this share is for you.

Not long ago, I shared a link to a website where you can download current and back issues of your news-stand favorites here:

Then, I decided to search for more of these sites. It's always a good idea to have a few resources in your back pocket in case some go away, there will be others.

So I did a Google search using these keywords: 'download PDF magazines free' and got a good number of sites in the returns.

Now, I haven't yet gone to any of these sites to test them, so do your due diligence and use common sense. If you land on a site that look suspect, close the browser and move on.

I'm just sharing these so you can get started on your magazine hunt.

ebook3000.biz - I'm not too sure about this (based on the .biz extension) but you're supposed to find ebooks AND magazines to download here. Use your noggin ... if anything looks suspect, back away from the downloads!

dloadit.com - old back issues of magazines, supposedly available for download via Mediafire. Don't be surprised if any of these sites end up trying to get you to buy a premium service to get the download. This one seems to be connected somehow to ebook3000 (which I shared above)

Of course, when I send you to unfamiliar sites, I stand by my usual caveats:

1. Always have antivirus program updated and running in the background.

2. Always be mindful if a website is loading pop-ups or pop-under ads or other unwanted stuff while your browser is open (you can tell; you'll see a flash or unusual browser behavior). Minimize the browser and see what's there and close that screen. Better yet, install a good ad-blocker extension to your browser. That should cut it out for good.

3. Don't be fooled ... I've had people say with confidence, PDFs can't contain viruses. Just do a Google search or read this article, for starters:

So, always run your PDF files past your antivirus program or upload the files to VirusTotal.com

I hope this helps. If anyone wants to join the bandwagon and add PDF free magazine sites they know of, I welcome you.
