I am using namecheap hosting.
They mentioned cpanel issued ssl certificates automatically activate for newer domains/subdomains added after october.

What about already existing older root and addon domains?
How to activate cpanel auto ssl for older already existing domains?

Any ideas?

try to generate self signed certificate from cpanel, and install it, maybe work for you

I used sslforfree.com to generate certificates and installed let's encrypt ssl.
