When I am putting social icons on a website and it ask for a url, do I put the url to MY FB page or something else? Maybe just facebook.com?

FB Fanpage URL :) Everybody Knows but few of us likes to answer silly questions.

Well... silly me then! I would suggest however that, most things may seem "silly" until you know the correct and verified information!
