i have not tried amazon merch on pinterest
But posting direct amazon products does not works well, pinterest usually removes affiliate links
Though i had some success by publishing posts like "Top 10 Cute Gifts to buy on Amazon"
List type posts do well if you use good quality images

Since these 80K followers are common with all boards and there are number of pinners added to other boards, so you can say that you are not the only one pinning to these followers, even if new board is made having only you as pinner
What i have seen lately that pinterest is using facebook "reach" type algo
So your pin is not immediately shown to all followers but it is shown depending upon engagement "Number of repins per number of impressions"
If your image is good quality, if it is tall, there is good chance of having good reach
So my suggestion is go with my 18 group boards offer
It is not highly crowded yet and you have good chance depending upon your pins

and there are no rules on ecom products, i have few shopping boards you can see how others are promoting, as i said earlier instead putting direct products posting article like "Top 10 gadgets of 2018" do much better
