I cant get it this to work on my wordpress installation, most likely it needs nulling. Hopefully 1 of you can get it working and tell me how to achieve the same

Nevermind, it was php 7.1 causing the error
Would you mind explaining what you did to get it to work?
Wordpress Dashboard > Ultimate Member > User Roles. Choose a role you would like to display profile completeness on and edit it. At the right side of the screen, you would see an option to enable profile completeness.
After enabling, SETUP FIELD will appear, add any fields that are available from your user forms. If you need custom fields, please create a new form in ultimate member with the options you wish to add to profile completeness.
To show profile completeness on the front end, you need to either use a the widgets or shortcodes. Look at the documentation if you need extra help
