YouTube channel I would say is a must if your website traffic is low because compare to website, YouTube channel generates better even though your channel has little to no consistent traffic.

Yeah the investment spending is for making the money plus additionally sending traffic to the sites. It's not an usual traffic culprit you may think of :)

What's moderate traffic to you? 5k-10k weekly impression?

Adding YouTube channel is more about increasing the quantity of your income source, not only because it is easier to get the revenue from the YouTube channel compare from the website.

The reviewers are my past customers, so whether they are famous or not I don't mind.

The traffic is yours to take care of, the verified source you are trying to refer is the money making source. So whatever your traffic size is, you have the full control of your own Adsense revenue using this method.
