1. Are you sure 35 in long tail keyword is easy to rank? Since I tried it even below 30 and I can't make it to the top. lol.
2. For the articles that needed to be posted in our site, how much words it's needed?
3. Do you also let us know how to win the competition? ( Since you said it's easy to rank, but my experience said another.. And maybe I have a wrong approach.. )
4. From your experience, how much time needed for the site become top rank? Let say page 1 in main keyword..

With ranking it all depends on your seo skills and how good your competitor is doing also!
Get a few back links, have a fun social presents offer discount codes even social signals are good!
Also if you can try and make a YouTube channel with videos for the general category of products and then individual product videos in a playlist this will help with the authority of your site etc
