I'm trading on demo with commissions set up to reflect as much possible as a live scenario and it's been 1 month. I started with $3000, and trade 2 contracts of CL and averaging $220-$300 a day profit. I also signed up for the live futures account, didn't fund yet. I will run in demo 1 more month and then go with $2000-$3000 and plan is to build the account first 3 months and starting from 4th month to take comfortable earnings while still building the account.
I do not trade automatically, I enable the strategy but I take the entries manually and let it take exits but focusing on taking them myself. I also don't put max daily gain and no max daily loss but keep the stop loss per trade only.
When you put enable max daily gain/loss and when that hits/executes it won't take into account the commission (if you trade 2 contracts it will count as 1 commission instead of 2).
This is only for Ninja Trader 7, would be a killer if we had an NT8 version (they also have NQ trading guide for NT8 Autotrader-trading NQ is more forgiving since its less $ per tick), but as you can see you can practice, learn and earn from this version too!
I wanted to learn penny stocks, then I wanted to learn day trading stocks, then forex, then cfd's/spreadbetting, then binary, and then I abandoned all of it once i learned about Futures :D
