What are the steps that you currently use to keep under the radar and protect your identity?

Let me be more specific with a simple user case scenario:

If I want to pay for something, I probably need a PayPal* account. So now I know I need to find a way to get these verified with a throwaway identity. To get one, I probably need an email. But the big providers typically require phone verification. And so on...

So, what are the steps that newbies can take to start creating and protecting their alter egos online?

* I know there's also Bitcoin and others.

If you want to pay, you can use something like this to keep your anonymity (Pay with Bitcoin with instantly generated VISA cards).

There are other routes to go of course, but as far as payments are concerned, this is a good solution.

Some tips:

1. Never use the same alter ego on different sites
2. Buy aged social media accounts (some sellers on this forum)
3. Use vcc for Paypal account
4. Uphold.com for bitcoin payments
