all the torrent sites seem to be vanishing those left are risky. Has anyone heard of AlphaRatio? it seems you need an invite to get registered.

yeah it sucks. I haven't heard of AlphaRatio. I'll keep an eye out.
Try extratorrent.cc
It has good site organization and a handy right hand sidebar with thumbnails of posters and dvd covers of recently added movies/shows...good for browsing. It's not great for certain older stuff like kickass was, but it's good for recent stuff.
