Buddy, is your text/html ratio with Avada the biggest pain?
I've tried text/html ratio checker
with moz.com and seen its ratio at 8.07%.
and studiopress.com's: ~12%
The result:
- http://www.site24x7.com/public/t/results-1487611014094.html
I wonder if text/html ratio is really much important with SEO.
I'm using Avada for my websites and I have been checking it with gtmetrix.com and google pagespeed insight. The results are quite ok.
P/S: I am totally not Avada Theme advocate or something.

I've been using Avada for several years and it is a SHIT theme. I wish I could go back in time and never use it but I'm so invested in it that going back is very hard. SEO has gone straight to shit since it's been implemented and I blame it on the text/html ratio. Also, it is the slowest d*** theme I've every used. I've disabled EVERYTHING and it still takes 7-10 seconds to load on SSD enabled VPS servers from top tier hosting providers.
Avoid Avada if you want to rank.

Good question. It became a popular theme because people want their theme to do everything for them, and this is where Avada has always shined in the beginning. It had lots of layouts, a page builder, portfolio, sliders, FAQ and more that other features weren't even thinking about. It literally has everything a new user could want (and most don't use or need).
Unfortunately, the user base attracted to using this theme haven't had a prior experience with other optimized themes like StudioPress, so they can't see long-term impacts on SEO like I have. And as a popular theme grows, people are less likely to doubt it. I blame myself for this one, too.
My text/html ratio is at 0.6% for a blog post with 1,200 words! I might have to disable the last feature I liked...the Mega Menu...to try and improve that score.
Sorry to hijack the this thread. Thanks to OP for offering the coupon.
