How to SAFELY Download From Those Annoying
File-Share Mirror Sites
This is something I put together when I realized that Zippy downloads were behaving differently. Then I saw on the forum where several people were getting (what turned out to be) false virus notices on a few of the shares from trust-worthy BBHF members.
If it helps you, then I'm satisfied. Reps appreciated.

This is not for everyone. If you've been having intermittent issues downloading from Zippy and want to put an end to the madness, this share's for you.
Thanks for this great share. Wish I'd had this when I started. I don't use IDM (yet) but Ad Blocker Plus is helpful in blocking initial ads on sites. Also, here's a little Zippy trick if you have quick reflexes. When you click the orange download button the first time a new page will automatically try opening in a new tab to the right of your current tab. Hurry up and click the close button of the new page before it can load. Then just click the zippy orange download button a second time and your item will start downloading. Hope this helps. Cheers!
Thank you, sales1, for your input. You're absolutely right ... quick reflexes! You've got to be quick or you will get all kinds of pages loading that you did not initiate. Your input is very helpful.
Like I said, this little guide may be elementary stuff for most people here but there are people having issues with Zippy where previously it was one of the more dependable sites.
My advice: If you UPLOAD files to share, instead of using mir.cr and selecting Zippyshare among other sites, just upload to Zippy on their stand-alone website (zippy.com). Or the same with mediafire. It may be more work for the person sharing but a lot less hassle for the end-user (downloader).
Nice share layna, repped you for this. It's a good work around. Another idea would be to not use mir.cr. There are plenty of other sites that do not bombard us with these anoying 'pops', up/under/over.
Maybe we can ban the aforementioned site? Before anyone shoots me down in flames, I like to sya, "it's just a suggestion." :)
