This update does not have any graphics or templates ... just the code to update the software. It addresses the issues some users reported when dragging-and-dropping images onto the screen for use with the eCover templates.
Version 7.2.9 Update
Changes in TLC (The Logo Creator) 7.2.9
(this update also contains all previous updates for version 7.x.)
• This update also includes the v7.2.8 update.
(internally, we created version 7.2.8 and then updated once more to v7.2.9)
• This update fixes a bug that was found in version 7.2.7 with the 'eCover Creator' mechanism. (When a user dragged an image onto an eCover, the image distorted). This has now been fixed with this update.
•7.2.8 update also increased the speed of the 'home screen' ... the page that is seen when you first launch The Creator app.

Both of these files (PC and Mac) were downloaded straight from the Laughingbird.com site. So whether you download what I offer here or go there, it's going to be the same file. I did not so much as open the files. That being said, here is the Virus Total result for each file:
Virus Total:
https://virustotal.com/en/file/7503da188...483582396/
File name: The_Creator_7_Setup.zip
Detection ratio: 2 / 56
Analysis date: 2017-01-05 02:13:16 UTC
NOTE: I freshly scanned this on VT and got 2 suspect files. Months ago, I purchased a Laughingbird software that also had these suspect files. I emailed them and they came up with some cockamamie excuse that I was doing something wrong and there is nothing harmful in their software. So, do your own due diligence if you download this update. Run it past your computer's AV. Or, at the very least, Google these suspect files to learn more about them and assess the level of risk. They could be false positives but HackTool.VKTool.bs looks nefarious, to me.
The MAC Update:

Lucky you, Mac user! No nefarious files in your download!
Please rep if you download. I appreciate it.
Whomever can, please, make mirrors.
