In my products there is a launch price and a REAL price. The launch price was 47 (that´s over now) the real price is 67$. But Now I have launche d a new BSO: THE EYE which includes all muy previous BSOs including this, so check it out because you could save serious money:

When you say targeted traffic, I assume the traffic per day should be less if not mistaken? any idea roughly how much traffic can be generated a day?

Yes it is targetted traffic. All I can say that for the last year I used this method as my ONLY method to bring traffic to a single physical product on Amazon. I´ve sold more than 1000 piece. Is this little or a lot? I really don´t know and don´t care! The only important thing is that it sells. I did not use this method for info products.
Anyway, this is the cheapest way ever to bring targetted traffic: it is free with no investment other than the price of this product.
