I am only here to help clear up "The Case of the Missing Password" caper.
Many of you were having issues with the password because the OP for this share seemed to alter the standard forum password by using the preceding "www." wherein, it is usually just the website name and dot com.
So if you tried the "standard" password, it would not have worked.
Hopefully, people who password protect their shares will first check to see how the forum password is written to keep from changing things and (as a result) creating more busy-work for themselves answering all the "password not working" posts.
Then again, someone else suggested "Why didn't you use http:// ...?"
If you consult the forum rules, it shows the password exactly as it should be written. And if you want to use it, you should use it exactly as shown.
The forum-standard password should not be altered or all the varying possible versions of it will just serve to confuse downloaders. Who wants to input 3 different versions of a password before they can get the files?
The official STANDARD password is written WITHOUT the "www."
And the only time the forum password is NOT used is if the download links were found elsewhere --- shared by someone who uploaded the files using an already designated password that has nothing to do with our forum. In such a case, our forum password will be useless in extracting/opening the archive.
I added this because I often see people posting: "I used the standard forum password and it didn't work." Well, it doesn't work with every password protected share. If you bring someone else's share over here and it's password protected for readers on another site, then you've got to use the password the files were originally protected with!
It's always a good practice to clearly include the password details in the MAGIC BUTTON download area or people will have no way of getting the goods you tried to share.
