Review:
I installed the Developer version of DTM on one of my sites.
I had no problem with installation, and there is no request for a license or anything like that.
you can also download a manual which takes you through the set up.
The set up is simple. You do need to get a Yahoo App id, but there is a link in the plugin settings to do that if you don't already have one. They are free, anyway, and simple to get. Other than that you just have to either select a User to attribute the posts to, or create a new one, and possibly upload an image to associate with the new user who will be answering all the questions.
The only 'tasks' you have to do are to get a Yahoo App id and set up a cron job. This is explained in the manual and is very simple also. Especially if you follow their instructions. Once that's done, you paste in a few initial keywords to get it started, and select how many posts per day to create and that's all.
What it does is it searches Yahoo answers for questions/answers on one of your keyword, then mashes together a post with a bunch of questions and answers which are all on that keyword. The answers get pulled from the same page as the question, so it does all make sense. The only problem is that there are a ton of other sites pulling this kind of content, so if you run an exact match search for some of your content you will find identical results on Google, as well as the original question and answer. But by throwing a bunch of them together on the same post, you get something that isn't entirely unique, but is a unique mix of copied content. I guess you could run it with WP Spin or something similar, which spins or adds html to each new post, so you get the appearance of originiality, although I am not very keen on those kind of plugins myself.
The layout is nice, though. For each question it adds an face. And if you have uploaded one for your user, that appears next to each answer. The question ranges left, and the answer ranges right, so that visually it is easy to see what is a question and what is an answer, and overall it looks nice enough.
Don't know if it's the best Yahoo answers plugin on the market. I haven't tried many. But in reality it's main strength is that 1. it puts a bunch of questions together along with their answers, rather than just copying yahoo's content page by page. And 2. over time it should do this with popular keywords on your site, which means you don't have to keep adding keywords to the plugin yourself.
Finally, it works as described, so that must be a good thing.
And by the way, the manual can be found here:
