Why will WP Social Traffic get you banned and WP fan machine 2.0 won't?

I heard that WP fan machine 2.0 does not work anymore. Is that true?

I meant it's not sold separate any more... Why? Is it safe to use without ban?

The fb app synchronization with the plugin after installation is not working. Anybody got it working?
