Hello everyone!
I want to start a USA political website (2018??) and I want to have EVERY city, county and state in it but want it to look like a "regular" site, as in the landing page allows content and the sidebar would have the links to different states/counties/cities etc.
There are obviously MANY things I don't know about specs for this but perhaps some of the brain trust here can start me off in the right direction.
I envision a site where after landing you click on your state and it would take you to a page(?) that lists the counties and then cities.
Would need to be able to list ALL elected offices I would think
ANY suggestions would be appreciated and even more so if you could include a link to whatever you are talking about.

P.S. this is NOT meant to be a money maker but rather an information site for my uninformed fellow Americans to gain knowledge before they vote for another IDIOT! we already have to many of them lol

Your best bet is GeoDirectory. There's a free plugin in WP Repository so it it work with any theme. If you want GeoDirectory pro features which includes its own framework (theme + premium plugins) then get the subscription. I use this. It is SEO optimized and naturally has geo-location.

I had appthemes Vantage directory plugin and there is NO support from those bloodsuckers. I did my research and GeoDirectory is the BEST.

Like where intrepid's headed with, but for the scale you're considering, I'm not sure if wordpress would be a robust enough solution/CMS for this. Again, depends entirely on scale of operation, but just something to consider.
