You'll have to deal with too many headaches with "free' email service providers.
If you're just getting started with email marketing, then start with a reputable
company like Aweber.
It's very easy to use and they have good deliverability.

Hey. I've MailinBlue has a free tier. But even if you want more, pricing is really affordable. You can also get SMTP and SMS sending features, which is great! Includes automation. MailinBlue are quite strict with new accounts and the UI is a bit complicated.
I've been using http://www.mailerlite.com -aff link- since 2014. 1000 for free, autoresponders included. I just love its simplicity. :-) It's easy to import a list.
