My approach:
I don't use SMTP, but I use Mailjet.
I created a free account to mailjet.com (6,000 free mails/month; 200/day) and at this moment it is enough for me. Btw, in this case you have to add API Key and Secret Key: http://screencast.com/t/QQaHThGe

You can also create free accounts at:
- sendgrid.com (12,000 free mails/month)
or
- mailgun.com (10,000 free mails/month

Yes, I use Email Jeet 2 PRO. In fact, I use Email Jeet from v1 (2014).
After many tests, in my opinion the easier way is
to use Email Jeet 2 PRO in combination with a free Sendgrid account:
