Thanks to you both of you for the page builder and the theme. I too have spent a bunch of time, money and effort with other high priced plugins that seem to only function fully if you buy other high priced addons.
This is an AWESOME share and I thank you for the time I know you must have spent putting this together
Wow, I've never seen such an impressive sitebuilder. I'm not a website designer but I could definitely learn how to build websites using this simple plugin for wordpress. I was watching that initial video and I was saying "Woooooooow" seriously.. I like it a lot.
Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I was looking for something like this that is simple to use and newbie-friendly. Drag and Drop
Max Reps + for bringing it to my attention and putting the hard work to provide us with the links to their add-on plugins
Two things about the company putting that plugin out. First, finding a way to ask them a question is near impossible. They provide a little button at the right hand bottom of the page but they have disabled the "Send Message" button. I can only search their knowledge base. Not good when they don't answer the main question I would have, which is "How are updates obtained, since they do not host their plugin on WordPress.org?"
Second:
"How we plan to make money
There will definitely be a paid plan. We will be charging money for Elementor Pro, which is already in development. It's hard to give an exact date for release, but we expect to release it in the near future. The focus for Elementor Pro will be features that are related to promotion, conversion and engagement.
We will never take out any design feature or widget that we currently have on Elementor. Moreover, we will keep adding new widgets and features to the free plan, like the two new widgets we just released."
While it is admirable they won't change any of the current free design features or widgets, engagement, promotion and conversion options can be found for free that will work with the completely free "SiteOrigin Page Builder".
Don't get me wrong, Eliminator looks pretty good. I just won't use it or recommend it because of the two things I noted here. It's a little ironic they are building a pro version for engagement and conversion but they don't encourage that sort of thing on their website.
There are a few different options for page builders. Some of them provide a free version on WordPress.org such as Beaver Builder. However, there is always something missing that must be paid for in those options. That's why I didn't add them to my post.
I think it is important for people to have an easy way to update plugins. There is often a need to be able to update quickly when a vulnerability is found, and that happens. It's also nice to be able to keep things updated even without security issues.
Can you tell me if they do have an updater for Eliminator and is there any obfuscated code in their plugin? How often does it call home and how many links are there that point to their site or any third party site?
I'm not interested in giving them my email address for their newsletter in order to get the plugin.
