just got this via Email, let's be positive here.

-------------
Starting on June, 2016, Gmail will update its DMARC policy to prohibit third party email services from sending messages using an @gmail.com address as the sender.

All messages sent from a Gmail address outside the Gmail infrastructure will be rejected by recipients' inboxes and will not be delivered.

The email will be rejected and will generate a soft bounce.

This action has been taken by Gmail to effectively combat spam and phishing.

That's true. Now will need to send email from base domain, or buy new domains for email marketing.
You can still send messages via gmail using email programs. You cannot use amazonses or mailchimp, etc to send from @gmail.com.
