Full Version: How do you measure the quality of an article ?

The price of an article depends on the quality of an article. These range from $5 to $50 for similar word count. What I want to know is how do these really differ from each other ? I'm assuming that none of the articles are spun. They are written by humans and are grammatically correct.

When I want to write an article about a certain topic, I just search the net about that topic and find some articles that I like. Read them and carefully re-write them in my own words. I assume most people have a similar approach i.e research about the topic and then re-write a good article(s) that you like.

Now if we consider that two people , one a well know figure and the another a beginner , write an article about the same topic, they ought to apply the same approach don't they? Or is it that the expert just writes things out of his own memory ?

Does the expert have a certain flair to his writing that only comes with experience ? or is it just a placebo effect because of his authority ? Is it certain that an article of higher value will bring more traffic to your website or perhaps produce more sales ? or is it a gamble with an higher success rate ? Maybe it's because the expert does a little bit of more research and mentions credible sources or writes the articles following a certain format that is pleasing to read for the readers (Tips or how to posts) .Can it not happen that some people like the article written by the beginner more than the ones written by the expert?

I'm just asking these things to improve my own writing ability and to know exactly the value I'm offering. :)

Thanks.
