This is the biggest crock of shit. This is no more than LSI redefined. By now if one doesn't know that if you have a site about Ford then your site should naturally contain content or conversations about Ford Trucks, Ford Cars, Ford SUVs, etc broken down into separate categories. Then to take it a step further as you set up your internal linking structure you should have categories or pages dedicated to the F150 in it's various builds such as the Lariat, XLT, King Ranch Models (there are more). Now as you talk about those trucks/models you might reference a site that has complimentary content about what type of truck bed or truck bed coverings are recommended or suspension types. All this is just natural conversations that would normally take place and as these conversations take place you would mention those 3rd party sites and when you do you don't have to create hyperlinks to them. You're just mentioning them in conversation hence "co-citation". Citations just mean Mentions on another page like when one does Local Marketing and focuses on Citations.

To the co-citation hype is nothing new as actionguy mentioned and Lisa Allen is just trying to relaunch her RSS Authority Sniper but with a monthly bill attached because her new 2.0 version will not work without a subscription billing to her hosting service to host the RSS pages her software supposedly builds. Now I was on that webinar listening to her bullshit to see what kind of hype her and that hack Abbas Ravji (if anything Lisa should watch her back before Abbas steals her software idea like he has others) would spew and they both lied all the way through convincing people that this is something new and that you couldn't create RSS feeds or pages out of HTML or non RSS type pages/feeds any other way. That was a load of crap. For one there is a free service called HTML2RSS that will do it but there are many other ways to do this with Wordpress and plugins.

Again this is just a way for her to get you to (A) buy the "updated" software and (B) purchase a subscription to the RSS Ranking hosting service which she provides which if you don't buy it the new updated software is useless!

So please skip this crap.

I've been marketing leveraging RSS feeds for many years and back then used tools like RSS Submit and others to leverage this type of RSS Mashup Marketing. We use to take popular RSS feeds from news sites and celebrity sites back then (2005) and then take our own affiliate site or money site RSS feed and mash it up with the news or celebrity site feed then blast it out on the web. This would get us traffic, backlinks and authority through association with those more authoritative sites. This is nothing new.

I have to say after reading tech reports dated 2008 regarding these exact tactics I can not say why some marketer have to make hype their calling card. The software was originally offered in 2012 and I can not say anything about it having not used it. I can tell that my experience with Abbas Ravji is torn. With purchases I have made I had no issues until the program he started selling authority domains as a service. The method by which domains were put in play was very disappointing and not wanting to rehash that mistake, the thing that rubs me is the fact that he turned my information over to a host of service providers that continually to this day solicit me to hire them to develop websites for me. Clearly he sold my information to an international Indian list since these all happened in exact timing with the domain purchases by name that I had made. So as it goes it does not surprise me that Abbs has such a negative track record with junbug. Just my 2 sense igydog

Here's the point they are making in the webinar. A traditional backlink will help your rankings as it ages (like a fine wine). But co-citations give you an SEO boost right away but the ranking effect fades away over time.

What her new RSS system does is it changes the authority links that your money page link is next to over and over again. So that Co-citation effect continues indefinitely and increases as the authority links next to yours keep changing.

This doesn't just build a static RSS feed with co-citations. If it did, the co-citation SEO boost would only last a brief time.

I plan on testing this on a new site I'm building this week.

And this method has nothing to do with RSS mashups or submitting to RSS Submit.

So it's just like schema markup give some seo benefit but not increasing rank as good as social signals and backlinks.

chris374 I disagree especially when the first steps in the process is to find authority more popular RSS feeds and then mix your content up with theirs so that it appears as though you flow or hang in the same "popular" or "authoritative" circles. Bottom line you want "Mentions" on other peoples sites and or in their RSS feeds to give your site cred.

Of course if you get a bunch of authority sites in any niche talking about you, your product or brand Google has to take notice. It's common sense and something that goes back years! It's nothing more than "buzz" marketing and labeling it something different so she can relaunch the latest version of her software with a monthly subscription if you want it to work.

However you slice it...co-citation, co-occurrence, etc. etc. it's nothing new! You are totally missing the point with regards to the RSS Submit reference.

As for me I wouldn't waste my time because you have to first see what Google likes to rank in any particular niche (for particular keywords/phrases) before assuming this is going to work for your niches and markets. That's like when folks expect a video submission tool to be able to rank every freaking video it uploads. Some will, some won't, so what, next! Without doing research and knowing what it is Google is willing to rank for a particular keyword or phrase you're just spraying and praying.

Will this concept work for every keyword/phrase. Hell no. One can't bend or twist Google's arm to force rankings just because you get a munch of "co-citations". That's laughable and Google is much too smart for this. This concept may work for much less competitive terms but not across the board. Might as well use a mass page creation tool/script/software to create a huge 15K to 45k page website and blog and ping it like back in the day. YES! That strategy still works but again not in all niches and especially not in the more competitive niches but it still works.

IgyDog Abbas has pissed off a lot of people in the industry (especially in the Ubot community where he got his start and began stealing ideas). That is why his launches are so weak and you don't see a ton of Super Affiliates or Internet Marketers getting on board to endorse "his" products. They know he (A) steals ideas, (B) provides the suckiest support and © let's his products die out and run their course. After that he doesn't really care. It's onto the next product/software he can copy. You know earn and burn the list sort-to-speak and I wouldn't put it past him to sell names and email addresses.

By the way guys and gals my favorite part of all this is how Abbas Ravji calls and refers to Lisa Allen the "queen of seo". OMG! Give me a freaking break. I guess that makes him the "king" of seo. There are far better female SEOs out there, and SEOs in general, than Lisa Allen. It's actually quite offensive in my book for this hack Abbas to refer to Lisa as the "queen" of seo.
