Many of you here may already be aware of this but I just ran across a simple demonstration of this application from internet marketer Bill Myers (http://www.bmyers.com) website.

It's free and easy-to-use.

PROS

* Copy your own website (make backup copies in an instant)
* Copy ANY website (I'm not advocating stealing but you can use this for design inspiration!)
* Copy ANY Wordpress website and convert it to an HTML website

CONS

I haven't used it yet so I don't know of any cons. However, in reading the 2012 share by KonnectDirect,
a BBHF member says it only creates html sites and does not copy php files.

Let's hope that the developers have made updates since 2012 and the application can handle php assets, too.
You will want to visit the site to see if any updates have been made.

I believe you're reading too far into it. There are many reasons and I will just give you 1.

A past customer of mine used my hosting and they were cutting out expenses due to retirement and my hosting got chopped.

Just last night they contacted me to move their other sites back to my hosting if it was cheaper or copy their sites for them from one host to another.

That is a very good reason for copying a site and it happens often.
