Yes and YES! This is the SLOWEST theme I've ever used. LOVE the design and versatility of the pages, but even after disabling every sliders and "extra" in Advanced, this theme is very slow.
I can't recommend it to anyone at this point.

true that , i have made over 100+ sites on avada but none of the sites work well on search engines and theme is slow as hell . but the learning curve is quick and junior devs can easily handle the theme
huh getting 90 + on yslow etc ...
theme isnt sow - just poor site design / optimization

caching / httpd2/spdy hosts ... good landing page with ~60 request load under 2 sec's
I do not think it's slow to be honest. I've been using this for my business website. With a lot of research on optimization, you'd be achieving a 1.5-2seconds speed for 2mb page size. Varies with your host aswell.

Yes, he is not slow , depending on the size of the page and your web host and optimization... And especially avoid putting RevSlider and see your plugins... Loading less than a second for me.
