are the guaraanteed freebies but, there are always student-only discounts in shopping sites. Searching "student only" on Google will give you enough discount to enjoy which saves you thousands of dollars only if you have Edu mail.

You get G-Drive unlimited, Office 365 with .edu email (and of course many offers and huge discounts with it). And creating 1 TB dropbox is different and it was added as a bonus.

Dropbox 1tb is a different method with nothing at all relating to Edu.

and G-drive unlimited storage is due to the edu mail as it is a freebies connecting to it..
