UPDATE: I've been using InstantWP to get things done, but I wanted to be able to use the migration plugin/ability of Easy WP Pro features. Plus, I was still annoyed that I couldn't get Easy WP working. I had a port conflict in Apache but couldn't find the system element that was causing it. It just pissed off the tech side of my brain (you know what I mean).
I tried all the Apache fixes mentioned here. Then I tried a bunch I found by searching. THEN I went to YouTube and sure enough there was an extremely (to me) obscure cure: disable Microsoft IIS (which I hadn't seen referenced since the early 2000s). I went on a long trip down memory lane to get to the checkbox to DISABLE.
I disabled that B******, and sure enough Easy WP started working. Like a champ.
Freaking amazing. Something left over from Windows Vista was f'ing me up.
REPS to all who contributed to this thread. This is an amazing product, and I am going to go buy it now that I know it works.

or better install Bitnami + Duplicator.
Bitnami has got SUPREMELY excellent support for a free software.
And Bitnami allows you to run WP site on AWS too.
