Many of my friends jumped their final hurdles to success in IM from listening and following EXACTLY the trainings of Lee McIntyre.
Definitely not "god-like" or anything, Lee is very straight forward and clear about the principles that always-have-to-work-and-always-will-work. Which entails work. But worth it in the long run.
I personally LOVE paid traffic. But I started with "free" traffic and still use it now. (I use the " __ " because we all know that "free" traffic takes time, which we only have so much of. Paid traffic is better once you've got a handle on what message(s) provide the response you want...)
This is BIG-
The reason I think everyone who wants to be successful should agressively try "free" traffic methods is this: when you find out what kinds of stimuli the public responds to -- you now KNOW something absolutely!
You can use that stimuli in your paid advertising, sales copy, ingredients to make hard-hitting articles, etc. And you get to test these stimuli, for "free". Testing these core engagement concepts at $1 - $2/click would be ridiculous. If you were that rich, you likely wouldn't be trying to make it in IM....
